Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 1 January 2026
This policy explains when a Shop Owner can cancel a CopyQR subscription and when a refund may be available. It applies to subscription fees paid to CopyQR; it does not cover any amount a shop charges its own customers for printing, which is a matter between the shop and its customer.
All refunds are subject to the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and applicable rules to the extent they apply.
1. Subscription fees
Subscription fees are charged in advance for the chosen billing cycle (monthly or annual) through Razorpay. Fees are for access to the platform, not for printing services.
2. Free trial
Where a free trial is offered, no fee is charged during the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the paid subscription begins and the normal billing rules apply.
3. Cancellation
- You may cancel from the billing section of your dashboard at any time.
- Cancellation stops future renewals. Access continues until the end of the current paid billing period, unless a shorter period is required for a breach of the Terms.
- Where an auto-payment mandate is active with Razorpay, cancelling also stops future automatic charges; the mandate may need to be cancelled with the payment provider.
- Cancelling a subscription does not delete stored documents or bypass the retention policy.
4. Refund eligibility and windows
Refund windows are a business decision that must be set before launch and are marked below. As a draft rule of thumb:
- First-time purchase within: 7 days from purchase — a full refund may be considered if the platform was materially unavailable or unusable.
- Renewals:3 days from the renewal charge .
- Partial-period refunds (for unused days, fees on usage already availed, or where the platform was used) are generally not provided, except where required by law or stated below.
5. When refunds do not apply
- Change of mind after the refund window has passed.
- Refusal to pay fees for a billing cycle for which the platform was made available.
- Termination caused by a breach of the Terms, unlawful use, or security risk.
- Print outcomes that depend on the customer’s source file, paper, or ink quality, which are outside the platform.
6. Failed payments
If an auto-payment or renewal charge fails, we may retry and may allow a short grace period before restricting new order intake. Existing access for billing, support, and data export is preserved. Grace-period length is set centrally:5 days, with automated retries managed via our payment processor. .
7. How to request a refund
To request a refund, contact support through the Contact page with your shop name, account email, payment/transaction reference, and the reason for the request. We will acknowledge and respond within the period required by law:To request a refund, contact support through the Contact page with your shop name, account email, payment/transaction reference, and the reason for the request. We will acknowledge and respond within the period required by law: acknowledgment within 24 hours and resolution within 5 to 7 business days. .
8. How refunds are processed
- Approved refunds are processed through Razorpay to the original payment method.
- We never store card numbers or UPI PINs; refunds rely on the transaction reference held by Razorpay.
- Refunds are exclusive of statutory deductions and taxes already paid, to the extent such taxes are not refundable: .
- Credit timelines depend on the payment provider and the shop’s bank.
9. Chargebacks
Where a charge is reversed by the shop’s bank or payment provider, access may be suspended while the dispute is resolved.
